ATLANTA — The Coca-Cola Co. has unveiled sodas formulated with prebiotic fiber.
The fiber-infused beverages are available in three varieties across the Coca-Cola brands portfolio: Coca-Cola zero sugar, Sprite zero sugar and Fresca. Each variety features 6 grams of prebiotic fiber.
The sodas are being regionally tested for a limited time to evaluate consumer response, according to the company.
“For us, innovation starts with the consumer,” said Shakir Monin, president of marketing for Coca-Cola North America. “It’s about understanding what people are looking for, where their interests are going and then using the strength of our brands to create something relevant and compelling. That’s how we continue to learn, evolve and bring new choices to consumers.”
The sodas are available for a limited time in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
