KANSAS CITY — Food manufacturers are innovating the frozen aisle with convenient new products.

Rich Products Corp. is adding protein-forward frozen breakfast options. The launch includes blueberry french toast sticks with 13 grams of protein, cinnamon french toast bites with 12 grams of protein and sausage loaded hash brown bites with 7 grams of protein.

“Breakfast today looks very different than it did even a few years ago,” said Kelly Rabinowitz, director of marketing, frozen retail brands, for Rich Products Corp., parent company of Farm Rich. “Consumers want options that are quick, delicious, and keep them going. This new lineup was created with modern mornings in mind, where convenience, flexibility and satisfying flavor matter more than ever.”

Island Way is launching new frozen novelties: lemonade bites and chocolate-covered fruit.

The lemonade bites are lemon pieces featuring a flavored coating. Flavors include classic lemonade, strawberry lemonade and watermelon lemonade.

The chocolate-covered fruit features fruit pieces coated in dark or milk chocolate. The novelty is offered in mango, orange and peach varieties.

“Lemonade bites and chocolate covered fruit are a natural extension of our brand, bringing high-quality, fruit-driven flavors to consumers in new and exciting formats,” said David Peters, chief executive officer at Island Way.

Lily’s Toaster Grills is debuting two varieties of frozen quesadillas. The chicken and four cheese offering contains chicken and a blend of Monterey Jack, asadero, mild cheddar and quesadilla cheese. The quesadilla features 12 grams of protein per serving. The four-cheese variety is formulated with Monterey Jack, asadero, mild cheddar and quesadilla cheeses and contains 9 grams of protein per serving.
