KANSAS CITY — Classic brands are broadening their product lineups with innovative launches
The Kraft Heinz Co. is set to enter a new category with Kraft Mac and Cheese Cheesy Ramen in 2027. The packaged pasta is available in spicy, chicken and pork flavors. Each variety is formulated with Kraft macaroni and cheese and is free from artificial flavors, preservatives and dyes.
“Consumers are increasingly looking for bold flavors and new ways to enjoy the foods they love, and we’re seeing growing demand for cheesy ramen in the US,” said Nicolas Henault, vice president of marketing for Kraft Mac and Cheese. “As a brand that has been delivering cheesy comfort for nearly 90 years, we saw a natural opportunity to bring our cheese expertise to ramen and give consumers a uniquely Kraft Mac and Cheese take on a format they’re already embracing.”
The Ghirardelli Chocolate Co. is launching its first packaged cookie line. The cookies are available in classic chocolate chip crispy cookie and double chocolate crispy cookie varieties.
“At Ghirardelli, we’ve always believed that everything tastes better when made with Ghirardelli,” said Bobby Oliver, vice president and head of marketing for The Ghirardelli Chocolate Co. “Cookies are one of those simple, familiar treats people reach for every day, and we saw an opportunity to make that experience distinctly Ghirardelli by bringing the quality and delicious chocolate taste consumers know and love to the cookie aisle.”
The Coca-Cola Co. is introducing a carbonated variety to its Smartwater brand. The beverage features electrolytes for added taste, according to the company.
