MEXICO CITY — Nestle SA said it will double its investment in Mexico, upping the funds earmarked for the country during the period 2028-30 by $1 billion.
Nestle previously divulged plans to invest $1 billion in Mexico during 2025-27. As part of its initial investment, Nestle said it has modernized and expanded production capacity at the Maggi facility, the Purina Experience Center in Guanajuato and the expansion of production capacity at the Nescafe facility in Veracruz.
The newly committed $1 billion investment is expected to be allocated toward strengthening the company’s production and manufacturing capabilities, modernizing facilities, incorporating technology, and developing more efficient and sustainable processes.
“This new phase reflects our confidence in the country’s potential and our commitment to continue growing alongside Mexico,” said Fausto Costa, chief executive officer of Nestle Mexico. “We want to strengthen our production capabilities, support Mexican agriculture, and continue generating opportunities through an increasingly robust, competitive, and sustainable value chain. Because when Mexico grows, we all grow.”
