VEVEY, SWITZERLAND — Nestle is joining the Regenerative Together Programme (RTP), a new industry initiative helping scale regenerative agriculture practices across global food supply chains.
Created by the Sustainable Agriculture Initiative (SAI) Platform, the program is designed to help improve consistency, credibility and transparency in how regenerative agriculture practices are adopted and verified across supply chains using a framework with practical implementation guidance, transition support and new protocols, Nestle said. The launch follows more than four years of cross-sector collaboration to develop “a more practical approach to regenerative agriculture,” yielding pilot initiatives across 23 farming systems in 25 countries.
SAI Platform developed the RTP with input from farmers, agronomists, non-governmental organizations, academia and industry in addition to being supported by more than 40 other food and agriculture businesses. It is backed by various environmental organizations, including the Nature Conservatory and Earthworm Foundation.
Nestle said the program’s approach aligns with its existing work with farmers and suppliers to help build more resilient supply chains, improve farmer livelihoods, and contribute positive outcomes for nature.

SAI Platform’s Regenerating Together Programme is a significant step forward, helping to simplify implementation, build trust and support meaningful impact at scale.”
Nestle already is committed to advancing regenerative food systems at scale and aims to source 50% of its key ingredients from farmers who use regenerative agriculture practices by 2030.
