PENNSAUKEN, NJ. — J&J Snack Foods is debuting its restaurant-style Superpretzel pretzel buns into the frozen aisle.
The Bavarian soft pretzel buns are fully baked and pre-sliced.
“Pretzel buns have taken off on restaurant menus, and the Superpretzel bun is a stand-out favorite in the category,” said Lynwood Mallard, chief marketing officer at J&J Snack Foods. “Now fans can bring home that same bun, whether they’re hosting a watch party or just upgrading a weeknight burger.”
The frozen buns may be purchased at Kroger stores starting in November, and a further retail expansion is expected to follow, according to the company.
