
IRVINE, CALIF. — Layn Natural Ingredients has added monk fruit decoction in powder and liquid formats to its portfolio.
Layn said the monk fruit decotion powder and liquid are produced from monk fruit using a water-based decotion process and may provide five to six times the sweetness of sugar.
Layn added the product to its portfolio in response to growing demand from global brands for clean label, fruit-derived sweetening solutions that may support sugar reduction while meeting different formulation, labeling and regional market requirements.
Manufacturers may use the ingredient in dietary supplement and food and beverage applications and as an additional option alongside higher-purity monk fruit extracts, juices and concentrates, Layn said.
