LILLE, FRANCE — Roquette has launched Nutralys Pea 850F, a pea protein isolate that may be used in ready-to-mix and ready-to-drink applications.
The pea protein isolate was developed amid demand for high-protein products, according to the company.
Nutralys Pea 850F also may provide the nutritional benefits of pea protein while reducing vegetal or pea notes. When using Nutralys Pea 850F, manufacturers may label their products as pea protein or pea protein isolate.
“From a formulation standpoint, reducing off-notes at source makes an immediate difference,” said Adeline Morcet, application scientist at Roquette. “It allows producers to focus on texture, nutrition and overall product experience, rather than compensating for flavor challenges. That efficiency can significantly shorten development timelines — creating plant-based products that stand out for the right reasons.”
Nutralys Pea 850F falls under the company’s Nutralys portfolio that includes such proteins as pea, wheat and fava bean.
