Business has exported to countries from Australia to Vietnam
An engineering supplier has moved to employee ownership after securing a seven-figure funding package from HSBC UK. Cheshire’s Integrated Air Systems has used the £1.45m loan from HSBC to buy out shareholders and to become an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) under the leadership of chairman, Graham Marginson.
The Wilmslow business was founded in 2002 and designs, makes and installs air conveyance and environmental systems used by manufacturers around the world. It currently has projects in countries including Brazil, Chile, Egypt, Spain, Poland and the USA.
Integrated Air Systems now plans to grow its turnover 15% over the next 12 months and wants to grow its workforce from 30 to 35. Mr Marginson says the new structure should allow the firm’s employee-owners to benefit from growth as the firm’s order book expands.
He said: “The success of Integrated Air Systems stems from the dedication of our employees and the efforts they put into the business. We want to reward this hard work and this EOT enables just that. This change marks a pivotal moment in our broader growth strategy as we continue with a rewarding bright future for the business.”
Andrew Holgate, relationship manager at HSBC UK, added: “It’s great to support Integrated Air Systems with this milestone transition of ownership. It’s fantastic to support businesses with employees at their heart, aligning with our beliefs of empowering individuals as a way to drive long-term success.”
