B’NEI DAROM, ISRAEL — Kad Bnei Darom is launching Cuca Herb Pops, frozen “herb spheres” intended for culinary use, according to the company. Consumers “simply pop and drop” the product into a recipe, eliminating the need to prepare herbs.
The herb pops are available in six varieties: garlic, onion, parsley, cilantro, dill and basil. Each pop contains 15 grams of frozen minced herbs.
The product was developed in collaboration with Practical Innovation, a product innovation development firm.
“These individual, quick-use frozen herb balls were crafted to respond to demands for top quality natural ingredients that provide convenience, precision and flexibility while solving the overuse of plastic packaging and food waste,” said Tal Leizer, chief executive officer of Practical Innovation. “Fresh green herbs are highly perishable by nature and known to be particularly prone to degradation.”
The herbs are expected to roll out in both the retail and foodservice sectors.
