Primient adds fourth business unit

SCHAUMBURG, ILL. — Primient, a company within the biomanufacturing and plant-based ingredients categories, has created a Biosolutions business unit to accelerate the growth of bio-based solutions.

Under the new business unit, Primient is moving from three product-focused businesses to four market-facing businesses.

Its four business units now include biosolutions, sweeteners, performance starches and agrifunctionals, according to the company.

“For the last four years, we have been reinvesting heavily in our business,” said Jim Stutelberg, chief executive officer of Primient. “We’ve been rebuilding our foundation while strengthening our operations and our customer service across our core platforms. Our value proposition to customers has never been stronger. The creation of our new Biosolutions business will enable us to accelerate our progress in high-growth biomanufacturing markets.
