
KANSAS CITY — Snack and confectionery brands are launching chocolate-focused innovations.
McKee Foods is adding a chocolate variety to its Little Debbie Old Fashioned Donuts line. The chocolate donut features a golden-brown ridges and a crumbly texture.
“We saw an incredible response to the Old Fashioned Donut we introduced last year,” said Scott Brownlow, brand manager of Little Debbie. “We’re doubling down on what works and giving both loyalists and new fans an irresistible reason to head back to the store.”
McKee Foods is debuting soft baked cookies to its Little Debbie brand. The cookies are available in chocolate chip and peanut butter varieties.
“Little Debbie has long been known for creme-filled cookies,” said Chuck Clevenger, associate brand manager at McKee Foods. “Now we are offering new traditional soft baked cookies that deliver the soft, satisfying texture today’s consumers want. By combining a bakery-style experience with the convenience of a 3-oz individually-wrapped package, we’ve created a treat that is perfect for any on-the-go snacking occasion.”
Tony’s Chocolonely is unveiling its Filled candy bar line. The launch features multi-sensory candy bars formulated with chocolate and layered fillings. The candy bars are available in gooey caramel sea salt crunch and creamy milk chocolate ganache varieties.
